There is reportedly growing frustration within a WWE department as preparations continue for WrestleMania 42.
According to a report from WrestleVotes Radio on Fightful Select, staff responsible for creating the event’s graphics and visual presentation have been dealing with frequent changes to the show’s promotional theme. Sources indicated that the creative direction for the event has not been fully finalised, leading to repeated requests for new graphics and adjustments.
The report notes that the original promotional concept for WrestleMania 42 centred on a “high-end, classy vibe,” which was reflected in early teaser materials. However, the direction has reportedly shifted multiple times since then, forcing the team to continually revise the event’s promotional assets.
Frustration Growing Backstage In WWE Over Poor WrestleMania 42 Ticket Sales
The reported frustration comes as WWE looks to build momentum for the two-night event in Las Vegas. Earlier this year, company leadership reportedly held a multi-department meeting after internal projections showed ticket sales trailing behind the pace set by the previous year’s WrestleMania.
At that stage, approximately 36,000 tickets had reportedly been sold for each night of the event, around 10,000 fewer than the figures recorded at the same point for WrestleMania 41.
In response, WWE departments were reportedly encouraged to develop new promotional ideas to increase interest in the show. According to the report, the ongoing effort to find a marketing approach that resonates with the Las Vegas audience may be contributing to the repeated changes to WrestleMania 42’s promotional graphics.
