WrestleMania 42 plans may include a celebrity stepping into the ring, with a high-profile appearance now reportedly under consideration for the event.
According to Dave Meltzer on the Wrestling Observer Radio podcast, IShowSpeed is currently in line to compete at WrestleMania 42 as part of a six-man tag team match. The proposed bout would see Speed team with World Tag Team Champions Logan Paul and Austin Theory against LA Knight and The Usos.
The reported plans follow Speed’s involvement in the episode of WWE Raw at Madison Square Garden. During the World Tag Team Title match, Speed became entangled in the action at ringside and accidentally struck Knight with brass knuckles while attempting to intervene.
The moment proved pivotal. Paul recovered the weapon and used it to knock out Jimmy Uso, allowing Theory to secure the pinfall and capture the championships. In the aftermath, Paul Heyman suggested that The Vision would stand alongside Speed, particularly with The Usos now seeking revenge.
IShowSpeed Could Participate In A Regular Tag Match At WrestleMania 42 Also
Dave Meltzer noted that while the six-man tag match is the current direction for WrestleMania 42, WWE is keeping alternative options in place depending on IShowSpeed’s readiness.
“If Speed isn’t ready, they could do a tag match with Knight and Speed in the corners, but right now, it’s the trios match that is on the match listing,” Meltzer said.
Speed has limited in-ring experience, having previously appeared in the 2025 Men’s Royal Rumble as a replacement for Akira Tozawa, where he was quickly eliminated by Bron Breakker. He has since featured in multiple WWE segments, including a recent encounter with Danhausen, who appeared to place a curse on him.
