Ryan Garcia made a surprise appearance on the July 27 edition of WWE Raw, aligning himself with The Judgment Day during an attack on Joe Hendry and Danhausen.
The segment on last night’s episode of Raw began with Joe Hendry and Danhausen performing an in-ring concert mocking The Judgment Day, accompanied by the Minihausens and a group of dancers. Ryan Garcia initially appeared to be part of the festivities before turning on the duo by smashing a guitar over Hendry’s back.
The attack allowed Dominik Mysterio and JD McDonagh to storm the ring, with the pair joining Garcia in laying out Hendry, Danhausen and the Minihausens. McDonagh targeted Danhausen before Mysterio capped off the assault with a Frog Splash, while Garcia celebrated alongside The Judgment Day members after the attack.
The segment also intensified the rivalry between Mysterio and Danhausen ahead of their SummerSlam match. Later in the show, WWE announced that their bout will now be contested as a Human Monies On A Pole Match after Danhausen requested the unusual stipulation and Adam Pearce made it official.
Ryan Garcia Is Set To Defend His WBC Welterweight Championship In September
Ryan Garcia’s appearance comes ahead of his WBC welterweight title defence against Conor Benn on September 12 at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas. He won the championship in February by defeating Mario Barrios.
