Tempers flared out of control during today’s WrestleMania 41 Kickoff Show at Allegiant Stadium.
Speaking of his feud with Damian Priest, guest Drew McIntyre chronicled how he believes Priest has rode on his coat-tails to relevancy.
“Priest tried to go out on his own to succeed but unless he is with Rhea and friends, Judgment Day, whatever they were called…he doesn’t know how to succeed without Drew McIntyre,” said McIntyre. He claimed that Priest threw him out of the Royal Rumble just to stay relevant.
Priest rushed the stage as McIntyre ripped into John Cena and his heel turn. They brawled on the stage as Michael Cole asked Pat McAfee to “get in there and do something”. McAfee and security tried to separate the them.
“Let them fight!” shouted the crowd. McIntyre walked off as Priest remained on the stage.
Priest and McIntyre will battle in a Sin City Street Fight on night two of WrestleMania.
Later, WWE World Champion Gunther came out to run down his challenger, Jey Uso.
The crowd greeted Gunther with chorus of “Yeet! Yeet!” chants.
“I don’t know what those people see. I see nothing in Jey’s eyes. Jey is full of crap,” he told Cole and McAfee. McAfee and Cole joked that they are undefeated at WrestleMania.
“But, not everyone is undefeated at WrestleMania,” joked Cole. Gunther glowered over Cole.
“If you don’t shut your mouth right now…” warned Gunther calling Cole disrespectful.
Uso’s music began playing as he waded through the audience to confront Gunther on the stage.
“I have been waiting all week for tomorrow night, Gunther, but we don’t have to wait until tomorrow night. We can kick it off and set it off right now.
Gunther didn’t say a word. He stared at Uso, threw down his microphone and took off his jacket then…just walked off.
