The winners of the first women’s AEW Blood & Guts match on last night’s Dynamite have been confirmed.
Last night on AEW Dynamite, the first-ever women’s Blood and Guts match took place to open the show, featuring a brutal 12-woman battle that saw the AEW women’s division members spill blood and batter each other with various weapons in an excellent match.
The match went just over 45 minutes and saw the team of Marina Shafir, Megan Bayne, Mercedes Mone and Triangle Of Madness’ Julia Hart, Skye Blue, and Thekla defeat the team of Harley Cameron, Jamie Hayter, Kris Statlander, Mina Shirakawa, Toni Storm and Willow Nightingale.
Some highlights of the action saw Shafir deliver a clothesline to Statlander on the outside of the ring onto a bed of nails, Storm wrapping her hands in tape covered in broken glass to deliver punches to Shafir, and Blue was busted open early in the bout and spilt a considerable amount of blood throughout the match.
The finish of the match saw Shirakawa being held down by the heel team as Storm, also restrained by the heels, was forced to watch as they beat Shirakawa with broken glass and whipped her with one of Mone’s title belts. Storm couldn’t bear to see Shirakawa be beaten any longer and chose to surrender, giving the heel team the victory in the first women’s Blood & Guts match.
