Will Ospreay is set to return to in-ring action this Wednesday following his recent comeback at Revolution.
AEW President Tony Khan announced on social media that Ospreay will face Blake Christian, marking his first match since last summer’s Forbidden Door event. Ospreay had been written off television after a storyline attack by Jon Moxley and the Death Riders inside a steel cage, before taking time away to undergo neck surgery.
“After captivating the wrestling world returning at #AEWRevolution Sunday night and targeting @JonMoxley, Will Ospreay will return to the ring vs Blake Christian TOMORROW!” Khan wrote.
Ospreay also confirmed the news, posting:
“Back at it again this Wednesday!!!”
Will Ospreay’s Return At AEW Revolution
Will Ospreay returned at Revolution following Moxley’s successful defence of the Continental Championship against Konosuke Takeshita. The two immediately brawled, with the Death Riders attempting to intervene, but Ospreay fought them off and stood tall to close the segment.
The upcoming match will mark Ospreay’s first in-ring appearance since his injury absence and continues his renewed focus on Moxley and the Death Riders.
