Sting’s son, Steve Borden, says he was always discouraged from pursuing a wrestling career. On Close Up with Renee Paquette, he said: “For my whole life it was something that I was pushed away from and not in a bad way. I think my dad wanted something different for me. So I played football, and at some point I feel like I was so removed from it that I almost didn’t even know what wrestling really was.”
“I started to get a little bit more involved as he was approaching his retirement because it’s like, ‘Man, this is something that’s really important to my dad. This is his whole career and I’ve been so removed from it for my whole life.’ We were at the Phoenix show. We got involved a little bit leading into Revolution and then being there at Revolution, I started to see what this business actually was and see also some of the different sides of it that I hadn’t understood as a kid. I think just watching my dad and realizing this guy’s been in the business for decades and those same decades are going to fly by for me. If there’s something that is pulling me into it I think I need to stop running from that and I probably did run from it for a long time,” he continued.

Will Ospreay revealed on The Takedown his true feelings for Jon Moxley. “I do feel like there is a lot of respect between myself and John. I do think we do complement one another when it comes to our matches and our ideologies of what wrestling kind of is, and what AEW needs to be. Especially when there are so many people counter-programming us and trying to tear AEW down. I feel like myself and John do share a same philosophy by making sure that AEW is so different to every other promotion in the world, and just ensuring that there is gonna be longevity in the promotion.”
Ospreay puts up the AEW World Championship against Moxley at All Out tonight.
