Word is that Joe Hendry has landed on the Smackdown roster, partly due to pressure from a broadcasting partner.
Fightful reports that executives at the USA Network, Smackdown’s home in the US, discussed Hendry’s move to the main roster, wanting him to join Smackdown and be a major part of the show as it reverts back to its three hour format next week.
It has been reported that Hendry, who has been appearing mostly on NXT TV as of late, already has a main roster deal with the WWE. The WWE is also expected to freshen up their roster with numerous main roster call-ups which is why they aren’t in the market to sign many new faces to WWE.
On last night’s edition of Smackdown, Hendry appeared battling The Miz in a “Miracle on 34th Street Fight.”
