An update has been provided on a teased Brock Lesnar vs. Oba Femi match for WrestleMania 42.
A potential showdown between Oba Femi and Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania 42 is not guaranteed, despite their physical encounter during the Men’s Royal Rumble match. Speaking on Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer said the bout is not “100 per cent” confirmed for Las Vegas. While the match remains a possibility, it is not yet considered a lock for the WrestleMania card.
“That’s not 100 per cent, by the way. It could happen. I’m not saying it’s not happening,” Meltzer said. “I was told this one’s not 100 per cent, and that was the Lesnar and Oba Femi match.”
Speculation intensified after their brief clash in the Royal Rumble. Lesnar got the better of the exchange, suplexing Femi before eliminating the former NXT Champion. Femi had entered at number one and lasted 39 minutes, while Lesnar was later eliminated by Cody Rhodes and LA Knight.
WrestleMania 42 is set for Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas on April 18 and April 19. Although the Lesnar vs. Femi match remains uncertain, the top of the card is beginning to take shape after Roman Reigns used his Royal Rumble victory to select CM Punk as his opponent for the World Heavyweight Championship.
When Was Brock Lesnar’s Last Match In WWE?
Brock Lesnar’s last WWE match before the 2026 Royal Rumble took place at Survivor Series on November 29, 2025, where he teamed up with The Vision and Drew McIntyre to defeat the team of CM Punk, Cody Rhodes, Roman Reigns, and The Usos.
His last match before that took place at WrestlePalooza on September 20, where he defeated John Cena, and this was Lesnar’s first match in over two years, with his last bout before that taking place at the 2023 SummerSlam pay-per-view.
