WWE could be preparing to bring WrestleMania back to a familiar location in 2029, according to a new report.
Fightful reports that WWE and the city of New Orleans have placed a hold on the Caesars Superdome for spring 2029, potentially setting the stage for WrestleMania 45 at the venue. Although no official announcement has been made, the reported hold suggests New Orleans is under consideration to host the company’s biggest annual event.
The development follows WWE’s earlier promise to the city of another WrestleMania after it decided to relocate WrestleMania 42. New Orleans had originally been announced as the host city for the 2026 event before the promotion changed its plans and opted to return to Las Vegas for the second consecutive year. The decision meant New Orleans missed out on hosting its third WrestleMania, although the company said the city would have another opportunity in the future.
New Orleans Could Host WWE WrestleMania 45
The Caesars Superdome has already hosted two WrestleMania events, having staged WrestleMania 30 in 2014 and WrestleMania 34 in 2018. Both events brought WWE’s biggest annual spectacle to New Orleans, establishing the stadium as a familiar destination for WrestleMania.
If the company ultimately selects New Orleans for WrestleMania 45, it would mark the promotion’s third visit to the Superdome. However, the reported stadium hold does not guarantee that the city will host WrestleMania in 2029, and WWE has yet to confirm its plans.
Meanwhile, the company has several other potential WrestleMania locations to consider over the coming years. WrestleMania 43 is officially scheduled for Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, in April 2027, marking the first time the event will be held outside North America.
Nashville, Tennessee, has also emerged as a rumoured destination for WrestleMania 44 in 2028, although the company has not officially announced a host city. Indianapolis, Indiana, is another city awaiting a future WrestleMania under an existing agreement with WWE.
For now, New Orleans remains a potential destination for WrestleMania 45, with the reported Superdome hold offering the latest indication of WWE’s 2029 plans.
