An update has been provided on the speculation that John Cena could be competing in the men’s WarGames match at WWE Survivor Series.
Speaking about the situation on Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer said that he previously thought that John Cena could be part of a men’s team in WarGames that consisted of CM Punk, Roman Reigns, Cody Rhodes, and Jey Uso, but now he has new information that tells him that Cena is definitely not competing in WarGames and that the idea of him being in the match is “not even close.”
Meltzer also stated that the planned Dominik Mysterio vs. Rey Mysterio match is no longer planned to take place at Survivor Series, despite WWE teasing the match on the November 3 episode of Raw. Instead, Meltzer speculated that Dominik could face Cena at Survivor Series in a rematch for the Intercontinental Championship that Cena won from Dominik on the November 10 episode of Raw.
How Many Matches Does John Cena Have Left On His WWE Retirement Tour?
It is unknown exactly how many matches John Cena has left on his WWE retirement tour, as he only has one match confirmed, and that is his final match at the December 13 Saturday Night’s Main Event.
There is a possibility that Cena may have another two matches as well as his final match, as he is booked to appear on next week’s episode of Raw in Madison Square Garden, and he is scheduled to appear at Survivor Series on November 29.
