An update has been provided on the return timeline of a currently injured WWE star.
Bodyslam has reported that Zoey Stark, who has been out injured since May, is looking to get back in the ring by mid-2026. The report has also stated that WWE is still “very high” on Stark and is planning on bringing her back into the fold as a babyface.
Stark was injured on the May 19 episode of WWE Raw during a Triple Threat match with Rhea Ripley and Kairi Sane, when she performed a missile dropkick from the top rope and landed awkwardly onto her knee and tore her ACL, MCL, and her meniscus. The injury was so severe that she required surgery that was scheduled for two hours, but ended up taking three and a half hours.
How Long Has Zoey Stark Been With WWE?
Zoey Stark joined WWE in 2021 after starting her wrestling career on the independent scene in 2013. She joined the NXT brand and quickly rose to prominence in the women’s division, capturing the NXT Women’s Tag Team Championship with Iyo Sky, then known as Io Shirai, on July 6, 2021, at The Great American Bash.
Stark made her Royal Rumble debut at the 2023 Rumble, entering at number 13 and lasting over 25 minutes. She was then drafted to Raw during the 2023 draft and made her main roster debut on the May 8, 2023, episode of Raw, defeating Nikki Cross. She made an alliance with WWE Hall of Famer Trish Stratus at the 2023 Money in the Bank event and would aid Stratus in her feud with Becky Lynch, until Payback, where Lynch turned face and attacked Stratus after she slapped and berated Stark after her Steel Cage match loss to Lynch.
In 2024, Stark formed a faction with Shayna Baszler and Sonya Deville called Pure Fusion Collective, until Deville was released in early 2025, making P.F.C. a tag team consisting of Stark and Baszler, until Baszler was also released in May 2025.
