An update has been provided on the identity of the masked man from the 2026 Royal Rumble.
One of the lingering mysteries coming out of the 2026 WWE Royal Rumble is the identity of the masked attacker who ambushed Bron Breakker before he could officially enter the match. As Breakker made his entrance at number two, he was suddenly attacked from behind by a hooded figure dressed in black.
The assault left him vulnerable and allowed Oba Femi to eliminate him almost immediately, ending Breakker’s Rumble in seconds. Since then, speculation has centred on who was responsible.
Early theories pointed toward Logan Paul, largely due to the attacker’s build. Paul quickly denied any involvement, shutting down those rumours.
The angle continued on Raw, where WWE General Manager Adam Pearce referenced a previous masked attack that was later revealed to be Austin Theory, further muddying the waters inside The Vision storyline.
Attention then shifted to Seth Rollins. In backstage footage released by WWE, Paul Heyman was seen insisting Rollins was behind the ambush. The masked man even delivered a move resembling Rollins’ Stomp, adding credibility to the claim.
However, Rollins had previously stated he would not be in Saudi Arabia for the Royal Rumble, and Breakker himself noted in the same footage that Rollins had undergone surgery only weeks earlier. That raised doubts about whether Rollins could have physically carried out the attack, even as fans speculated about possible misdirection.
New Report On Royal Rumble Masked Man Identity
A new wrinkle emerged this week. According to a report from the High Spots Podcast on Twitter, the person under the mask was actually Grayson Waller. The report claims Waller was quietly pulled from NXT live events and brought to Riyadh, where he competed in a dark match on the Royal Rumble show, teaming with The New Day in a losing effort against Shinsuke Nakamura and The Motor City Machine Guns.
The suggestion is that WWE used Waller as a stand-in due to his similar look and movement style, allowing the attack to visually point toward Rollins while keeping the long-term storyline intact.
