Britt Baker’s absence from AEW may have more to do with contract timing than retirement. On a Fightful Select Q&A, Sean Ross Sapp revealed that Baker is still under contract for several more months, and AEW has the option to extend her deal due to time missed with physical issues. Sapp noted that while such extensions were not always common, it now seems “absolutely something that they would do.” Because Baker has been sidelined for a prolonged period, her contract could potentially run well into 2027 if AEW adds time. He also indicated he has not heard of any significant internal movement regarding her return to television, despite Baker recently stating she is not retired.

WWE has begun rolling out a new wave of NXT name changes following several recent trademark filings. Jaime Garcia, formerly known as Zozaya, has debuted as Romeo Moreno and competed at a live event, teaming with Malik Blade to win. Mike Derudder, previously Mike D Vecchio on the independent scene, is now performing as Dorian Van Dux, while Nathaniel Cranton has been rebranded as Tristan Angels. All three were part of WWE’s October 2025 signing class. Additional trademarked names, including Kai Kavari, CJ Valor and Santi Rivera, have not yet been linked to specific talent, but further changes are expected.
Tiffany Stratton has confirmed her relationship with NXT talent and former Olympian Shady Elnahas, making it Instagram official after weeks of online speculation. Posting a series of intimate photos, including car selfies, gym shots, a Disney World visit and a mirror kiss, Stratton captioned the update “Word on the street…” which quickly drew strong fan reaction. The post appears to put an end to lingering rumours about her previous relationship with Ludwig Kaiser, signalling that Stratton and Elnahas are now publicly and confidently together.
