A return to the ring remains possible for Brie Bella, although any comeback would almost certainly involve teaming with her twin sister Nikki Bella rather than pursuing a singles run.
Brie Bella recently commented that she “definitely” has one last run left in her, leaving open the question of whether it would take place in WWE or elsewhere. Nikki, meanwhile, is already back with WWE after returning earlier this year, most recently challenging Stephanie Vaquer for the Women’s World Championship at Survivor Series. So far, Nikki has been appearing without her sister by her side.
Speaking on Insight with Chris Van Vliet, Bryan Danielson, Brie’s husband, explained that his wife has no interest in returning on her own. If she steps back into the ring, it would be as part of a reunited Bella Twins act.
“Only in certain contexts,” Danielson said when asked about a potential comeback. “She does not want to come back and do a singles run. If she comes back, she would want to do it with Nikki. I think there is also something in her that wants the kids to see her in that light, rather than just as their mum.”
Brie’s last proper run in WWE ended in 2018, although she made a brief appearance in the 2022 Royal Rumble. She and Nikki were inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2020.
When Did Brie Bella Retire From WWE?
Brie Bella retired from WWE and wrestling in March 2019, where on an episode of Total Bellas, she announced that she was retiring. It was announced on the February 21, 2020, episode of SmackDown that the Bella Twins would be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame.
Brie returned to compete in the 2022 women’s Royal Rumble match and has also made appearances in AEW, most notably at the 2024 All In pay-per-view, where she supported her husband as he won the AEW World Championship from Swerve Strickland in the main event of the show.
