An update has been provided on the status of AJ Lee in WWE.
AJ Lee’s current run with WWE appears to have come to an end, at least for the time being. According to WrestleVotes Radio via Fightful Select, a WWE source has indicated that Lee’s creative plans are effectively complete following her recent run. While there is internal hope she could return for future storylines, including a possible appearance at SummerSlam, nothing further has been confirmed.
Lee made her return to WWE in September 2025 and quickly became a key figure in the women’s division. She initially aligned with CM Punk in a rivalry against Seth Rollins and Becky Lynch before transitioning into a singles programme with Lynch.
AJ Lee Won The Women’s IC Title In Her Return Run
That run saw AJ Lee defeat Becky Lynch at Elimination Chamber to capture the Women’s Intercontinental Championship, her first singles title in WWE in over a decade. She later dropped the title back to Lynch at WrestleMania 42 Night One.
The WrestleMania match also marked Lee’s first appearance at the event since WrestleMania 31, providing a full-circle moment for her return. Any future involvement now appears to depend on both creative direction and Lee’s own availability.
