A beach getaway for The Undertaker (Mark Calaway) and his wife Michelle McCool turned into their very own Shark Week episode.
While vacationing and celebrating their 13th wedding anniversary an unwanted visitor crashed the romantic escape: a shark.
McCool, who documented the entire encounter on her Instagram account, was swimming around in the water when what she thought was vegetation turned out to be what looked like a nurse shark.
“Okay, I text my husband because this guy right here. I don’t know if you can see it. I just knew it was a shark and look how close we are,” she said in her Instagram video.
Seeing his wife could possibly be in danger The Undertaker waded into the water between his wife and the shark.
The shark wandered closer but The Undertaker stood his ground staring it down. The shark eventually turned tail and swam away.
“I guess I wasn’t big enough to scare him away but you are,” Michelle said to her husband.
McCool’s followers were quick to weigh in with their comments.
“The shark didn’t want to go one on one with The Undertaker!!” wrote brokeem_over9000.
“Only the deadman can were all black to the beach & scare off a shark,” wrote trveash.
“I completely expected the last picture to be Mark holding the shark,” wrote mbudwin.
