CM Punk’s status for WWE Money in the Bank is reportedly uncertain, even though the former world champion currently has a chance to qualify for the Ladder Match.
CM Punk is involved in an ongoing storyline with Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens on SmackDown and is scheduled to compete on the September 25 episode. He will face Finn Balor and Gunther in a Triple Threat Match, with the winner securing one of the remaining places in the Men’s Money in the Bank Ladder Match. However, Punk is not currently advertised for a match at the October 10 premium live event.
CM Punk’s Money In The Bank Status Reportedly Uncertain
According to WrestleVotes Radio on Fightful Select, “uncertainty” currently surrounds CM Punk’s involvement at Money in the Bank. One source reportedly indicated that Punk had previously been discussed for a match at the event, but his participation is “no longer certain at this time.”
Punk could still qualify for the Men’s Money in the Bank Ladder Match by defeating Balor and Gunther on SmackDown. However, no other match involving Punk has officially been announced for the PLE. While his Money in the Bank status remains unclear, Punk is confirmed to compete at this weekend’s WWE x AAA Worlds Collide.
Punk will team with Rey Mysterio and El Grande Americano in a six-man tag team match against Omos, JD McDonagh and Dominik Mysterio.
