A UFC Hall of Famer has shared their thoughts on WWE, praising rising star Oba Femi while reflecting on some of their favourite entrance themes.
Speaking to Full Send MMA, former UFC Middleweight champion Israel Adesanya was asked to name his top wrestling theme songs of all time. While listing several iconic names, Adesanya also took time to highlight Oba Femi, describing him as one of the standout performers in WWE today.
“I really like the way he just moves. I like the way he’s carrying WWE right now. He’s the guy,” Adesanya said. “He’s just like, he’s got that swagger. So shout out to Oba Femi… that’s the guy right now.”
Adesanya’s comments come as Femi continues to gain momentum on WWE programming, positioning himself as one of the company’s emerging stars.
Besides Oba Femi, Israel Adesanya Named Numerous Legendary WWE Themes Among His Favourites
During the interview, Israel Adesanya also ran through a number of legendary theme songs that left a lasting impression on him as a fan. He pointed to Rey Mysterio and The Rock among his favourites, while highlighting the immediate reaction triggered by “Stone Cold” Steve Austin’s entrance.
“When you hear the glass shatter, you know what’s happening,” Adesanya said, recalling his reaction to Austin’s surprise appearance at WrestleMania. “When I heard the glass shatter, I lost my mind.”
He also referenced names such as Stacy Keibler and The Godfather when reflecting on his early memories of watching wrestling, noting how those moments stood out during his childhood. While much of the discussion centred on nostalgia, Adesanya’s praise for Femi underlined his view that the current generation still has stars capable of making a similar impact.
