Dana White is expecting big numbers for this weekend’s UFC Freedom 250.
Speaking to TNT Fight Sports, White said: “For UFC fans all over the world this is a very unique experience for everybody. We’re expecting Super Bowl-type numbers for this fight.”
UFC Freedom 250 is being staged on Flag Day and on President Donald Trump’s birthday but it’s also part of the broader U.S. 250th anniversary celebrations.
For White, UFC has come a long way.
“It’s definitely a one-of-one event and when you think about where we came from and how this whole sport started and how it was frowned upon in the United States to now be headed to the White House? It is pretty surreal,” he said.
White called this weekend’s event “one of a kind” with even the walkouts getting special attention.
With so much going into the production and design of UFC Freedom 250, White is proud of everyone involved who made it a reality.
“If we don’t win every production award for the White House fight they should just stop doing production awards because you’re full of s–t,” he said.
