On last night’s edition of TNA Impact, Frankie Kazarian defeated Mike Santana for the TNA World Championship when he cashed in his Call Your Shot reward.
Santana was jumped by a group of NXT comprised of Lexis King, Charlie Dempsey, Brooks Jensen, Robert Stone, Stacks and High Ryze. Steve Maclin tried to play hero but the numbers game was too much for him. Earlier in the evening, NXT GM Ava appeared praising TNA and NXT’s partnership.
After all that went down, Santana did not appear for his scheduled meet and greets and PWI is now reporting that Santana had not arrived for call time TNA’s Turning Point PPV. He and Steve Maclin are supposed to join forces against Kazarian and Nic Nemeth on the show.
“The word making the way around talents is that Santana has not returned the company’s call or texts,” reports PWI.
Santana defeated NXT superstar Trick Williams for the TNA World Championship at Bound For Glory. He held the title for 32 days.
