Triple H shared a rare moment of appreciation with CM Punk ahead of WrestleMania 42.
The exchange was featured in a behind-the-scenes production video released by WWE, showing Triple H working with talent on their WrestleMania entrances before crossing paths with Punk inside the stadium.
Looking out at the stage setup, Triple H thanked CM Punk for his role in the show’s success.
“It’s a big f***ing deal, right? It’s because of you, man. Thanks for the house,” he said.
Punk downplayed the praise, replying:
“It was a team effort, you know that. It always has been. Thank you, those are kind words.”
Triple H added that he was pleased to have Punk back in WWE, with Punk responding:
“I’m happy to be here, you know that. Thank you for the opportunity.”
Punk went on to headline Night Two of WrestleMania 42, where he was defeated by Roman Reigns in a World Heavyweight Championship match.
