Triple H believes WWE’s next generation is packed with future WrestleMania main eventers, singling out several rising stars he expects to lead the company for years to come.
Speaking on The Stephen A. Smith Show, the WWE Chief Content Officer reserved his highest praise for NXT Champion Oba Femi.
“Oba Femi is going to be as big as anybody has ever been in this business,” Triple H said.
He also highlighted Sol Ruca, Je’Von Evans, and Trick Williams as performers with the potential to become major stars.
“Sol Ruca has an opportunity to be a standout star. Je’Von Evans is one of the young guys. He reminds me of a young Jeff Hardy that just has this incredible move set, but just has an energy and a youth about him that you can’t look away from.”
Triple H was equally complimentary of Williams, pointing to his charisma as one of his greatest strengths.
“Trick is just the personality plus. He’s another guy you can’t look away from,” he said. “These are the young talent that are going to take WWE into the future. Two, three years from now, four years from now, these are going to be the main events of WrestleMania. I promise you.”
Triple H Says He Believes Charisma Is The Key To Becoming A Top Star
The WWE executive explained that he has always admired performers with exceptional mic skills, citing legends such as Ric Flair, Hulk Hogan, and Randy Savage. He compared the qualities he looks for to the star power of Conor McGregor and Floyd Mayweather, adding that Williams and Femi possess those traits in different ways.
Ultimately, Triple H said charisma remains the most important quality in professional wrestling.
“Our business is not just about the athleticism, it’s not just about what you do in the ring,” he said. “Charisma is king.”
