As fans might have guessed already, AEW is a major contributor to Triller’s revenue.
According to Triller Group’s financial results for fiscal years 2023 and 2024 as part of its overdue SEC disclosures, AEW accounts for roughly one-fifth to one-quarter of Triller’s total revenue.
That’s approximately $6.6 million of their $27.48 million revenue in 2024 and $10.3 million of the $54.19 million in 2023.
So, even though Triller’s total revenue dropped from 2023 to 2024, AEW’s contribution rose from 19 % to 24 %.
It is also not clear how much of AEW’s contributions are subscriber-based services and how much are pay-per-view orders.
Nasdaq delisted Triller last year as they did not provide their financial reports by the end of the year.
Although it has other revenue streams and other wrestling promotions on its platform it is clear that Triller is dependent on AEW for its sports streaming segment. AEW is named in the reports as the single largest individual customer.
Unfortunately, the reports do not breakdown wrestling by promotion so it isn’t clear how much each promotion contributed to the bottom line of the company. Triller is also the home to GCW, OVW, House of Glory, TNT, IWR, etc, content.
Wrestling content is clearly becoming a larger piece of Triller’s core business which is explains why they integrate so much wrestling and combat sports content into their social media strategy. That content is clearly crucial to driving engagement, subscriptions and buys to the Triller platform.
Triller is a social media and entertainment platform that combines short-form video, live streaming and music content with a growing focus on sports and combat events.
