Fresh comments following WWE Raw have sparked new speculation about a potential WrestleMania 42 match, as developments within the women’s division continue to unfold.
Iyo Sky may not yet be officially confirmed for WrestleMania 42, but her latest comments suggest her path to the event is beginning to take shape. Following the March 23 episode of Raw, Sky took to social media to address her current situation, referencing recent changes to her roster position. With Rhea Ripley now competing on SmackDown and her own tag team status no longer intact, Sky indicated she is reassessing her focus heading into WrestleMania season.
“Rhea went to SmackDown, and I’m no longer the Tag Team Champion. Now I’m starting to see things clearly,” Sky said.
She then turned her attention to the growing tension within the Kabuki Warriors, expressing concern over Asuka’s treatment of Kairi Sane.
“Kairi might have chosen to follow Asuka on her own, but the way Asuka’s treating Kairi right now isn’t right. Kairi needs to realise that, and she needs to get out of there.”
Sky suggested she may become directly involved in the situation, stating:
“We need to do something about that.”
Before addressing that issue, however, Sky made it clear she is focused on her upcoming match against Raquel Rodriguez on next week’s Raw at Madison Square Garden.
“Raquel, I don’t know what your deal is, but you’ve been all over me lately. Next week, Iyo Sky is gonna take you down and send you packing.”
Reports Suggest A Potential WrestleMania 42 Match Between Iyo Sky & Asuka
Reports in recent weeks have indicated that WWE has deliberately limited in-ring interactions between Iyo Sky and Asuka, with a potential singles match between the two currently planned for WrestleMania 42.
There has also been internal discussion about possibly adding Kairi Sane to the bout, which would turn it into a triple threat. With tensions building both inside and outside the ring, Sky’s next steps could play a key role in shaping the Women’s division heading into WrestleMania.
