A dominant faction absent from AEW programming in recent months may not be away much longer.
The Hurt Syndicate appears to be nearing a return to All Elite Wrestling, with MVP suggesting the group will be back in action soon. The faction, which also includes Bobby Lashley and Shelton Benjamin, has not been featured regularly on AEW television in recent months.
Lashley last competed at AEW Full Gear 2025 in a match to crown the inaugural AEW National Champion, after which he was reportedly sidelined with an injury. Benjamin’s most recent appearance came on the January 7 episode of Dynamite, where he was defeated by Jon Moxley.
Despite their absence, signs now point to an imminent return. MVP recently shared a photo alongside Lashley and Benjamin on social media, writing that the trio would be “back in action soon” and reaffirming the group’s presence in AEW.
MVP Has Been Involved In Numerous Other Projects Outside Of AEW
Outside the ring, MVP has also been involved in upcoming projects with filmmakers Damian Abraham and Zach Feldberg, though he has continued to address the group’s future. Reports indicate that both MVP and Benjamin have signed new deals with AEW, signalling long-term plans for the faction.
MVP has also hinted that the group could expand. Speaking on the Battleground Podcast, he confirmed discussions are ongoing about adding a new member, suggesting the ideal addition would bring a “youthful spark” to the group.
He also referenced past issues within the faction, criticising MJF and stating he was “not good enough” during his previous involvement. While no official return date has been confirmed, the latest comments indicate that The Hurt Syndicate’s absence from AEW television may soon come to an end.
