At the All Out press conference, Tony Khan gave an update on Steven Borden.
During Borden and Darby Allin’s match against Kevin Knight and Kyle Fletcher, Borden attempted to set-up what appeared to be a Coast to Coast collision with the high flying Knight.
Such a spot is considered a advanced maneuver typically reserved for more experienced wrestlers or those with exceptional agility to pull it off. Borden and Knight missed each other due to timing and Borden landed on his back, striking the back of his head on the mat. He was knocked out cold.
The match was immediately halted and Borden was taken to the back on a stretcher.
“I have a great update. Thankfully, Steven Borden, awake, responsive at the hospital and he had a CT scan and all the tests have come back good. So far, all good results and we’re hopeful Steven’s going to be able to fly home to his family,” said Khan.
Sting’s son made his pro wrestling debut last year teaming with JD Drake against Darby Allin and Killer Kross at the 52W Hardway event and as of the writing of this article has had 35 documented matches under his belt in that short period of time.
