Tony Khan has shared exactly what he thinks about 17-time WWE world champion John Cena.
During a recent interview on Z100 New York, AEW President Tony Khan was asked what he thinks about future WWE Hall of Famer John Cena. Khan had nothing but praise for the 17-time world champion turned Hollywood megastar, stating that he is one of the hardest-working people he knows in the world of wrestling. Khan stated:
“John Cena’s absolutely a legendary pro wrestler who came into the space and became a huge star very quickly on television because he has so much charisma, and he’s one of the hardest working people as far as I know in pro wrestling.”
Khan went on to say that while he has never had the pleasure of meeting or talking to Cena, he has nothing but respect for him and praised him for stepping up to become wrestling’s biggest star in an era when the stars of the Attitude Era had all but left the world of wrestling behind.
John Cena’s final match will take place at the December 13 Saturday Night’s Main Event, and reports have surfaced that Cena’s final opponent has been chosen internally by WWE to be “The Ring General” Gunther.
