Tony Khan has revealed that Toni Storm was initially scheduled to compete at AEW Dynasty before plans were changed.
Toni Storm was written off television following an on-screen attack in recent weeks, with reports suggesting she could be sidelined for the remainder of 2026. Speaking at the Dynasty post-show media scrum, Tony Khan confirmed that Storm had originally been expected to play a major role on the card.
“Also, ‘Timeless’ Toni Storm, and I made many changes to this pay-per-view over the last few weeks,” Khan said. “They were to both have been a big part of it. They’re both a huge part of AEW. Any time I can have Kyle Fletcher or ‘Timeless’ Toni Storm involved in an AEW event, it’s very important.”
“So, coming out of Revolution, I expected them each to be in matches on the show.”
Tony Khan Addressed Kyle Fletcher’s AEW Dynasty Absence Due To Injury
Tony Khan also referenced Kyle Fletcher as another planned participant who ultimately missed the event due to injury. Fletcher is reportedly dealing with a suspected meniscus issue, which led to the TNT Championship being vacated and a new champion being crowned at Dynasty.
