Tony Khan has once again spoken about Chris Jericho and his future with AEW, and expressed that he hopes Y2J ends his career with his promotion.
Tony Khan spoke in an interview with Adam’s Apple about a number of topics, including Chris Jericho and his future in AEW. Khan was asked if he thinks Jericho may be nearing retirement, and if he were to retire, would he want his last match to take place inside of an AEW ring. Khan responded:
“I would say that absolutely, I’d love it if Chris, his final match is eventually — whenever Chris someday would want to hang it up — were in AEW.”
However, Khan added that he doesn’t think Jericho will be wrapping up his career anytime soon, saying:
“I also don’t think Chris is really near that point.”
What Did Tony Khan Say About Why Chris Jericho Is Missing From AEW?
Tony Khan explained why we haven’t seen Chris Jericho in an AEW ring since the April 9 episode of Dynamite, and said that the reason is due to his number of contracted dates with AEW and working out his schedule with his other commitments.
Although he doesn’t know when, Khan said that he is hopeful that we will see Jeircho back in AEW in the new future.
