Tony Khan has spoken about a possible interest in bringing a recently released WWE star into AEW.
Speaking with Ariel Helwani, Tony Khan was asked if he had any interest in bringing Killer Kross into AEW, given that he is now a free agent after his and his wife, Scarlett Bordeaux, WWE contracts expired on August 10 and weren’t renewed.
Khan said that while he hasn’t spoken to Kross in many years, he would definitely be interested in the idea of bringing him into AEW. Khan said:
“I have not spoken to him in many, many years… I like Killer Kross. It’d be interesting at some point to talk to him again. It’s been a long time since I’ve talked to Killer Kross, and it would be interesting.”
Kross has never worked inside an AEW ring, but Khan said that he was loosely involved in a deal that allowed Darby Allin to team with Kross at an Awesome Championship Wrestling event on October 3 to defeat JD Drake and Steven Borden.
What Did Tony Khan Say About Chris Jericho’s AEW Absence?
Tony Khan addressed why Chris Jericho has been missing from AEW as of late, stating that it simply comes down to the number of dates Jericho is contracted for in AEW and working out Jericho’s other commitments.
Khan said that he is hopeful that we will see Jericho back in an AEW ring before too long.
