Tony Khan has confirmed he spoke directly with Ricochet following his recent social media controversy, making it clear the comments were not acceptable.
Speaking at the post-show media scrum after AEW Dynasty, Tony Khan was asked about the situation and whether he had addressed it internally.
“I did, and I had a conversation with him. I have a good conversation and a frank talk. That was not acceptable, and I think that was communicated,” Khan said. “We have a policy and continues to be a policy in place for such things, and that violated it. There is no place for that in wrestling or anywhere.”
The incident dates back to March 2026, when Ricochet responded to a fan with a harsh post about the disease Multiple Sclerosis (MS) on social media following criticism. He later apologised for the comment.
Tony Khan Says AEW Dealt With Ricochet’s Comments Internally
Tony Khan indicated that AEW has dealt with the matter and is now looking to move forward.
“We’ve tried to move past that,” he added.
Ricochet competed earlier in the night at Dynasty, where he defeated Chris Jericho in Jericho’s first AEW match in nearly a year.
