Tom Brady is reportedly in talks with WWE about a potential appearance that could see him continue his ongoing rivalry with Logan Paul inside the ring.
According to TMZ Sports, discussions are taking place between the seven-time Super Bowl champion and WWE, although it remains unclear what role Tom Brady could have or whether he would be willing to compete in a match.
The report comes just days after Brady revealed he was interested in stepping into WWE during a live edition of Cody Rhodes’ What Do You Wanna Talk About? podcast at Fanatics Fest.
“I need to get an invite. I’ve been waiting for [WWE president] Nick Khan to come up with some storyline for me to get in the mix,” Brady said. “I think I could get in there for at least one match, right?”
Brady also admitted he would be happy to portray a villain if he ever appeared for WWE.
“I’ve always been a bad guy,” Brady said. “When you go on the road and you’ve had some success in the NFL, they don’t like you.”
Tom Brady’s WWE Connection With Logan Paul
Tom Brady’s issues with Logan Paul date back to earlier this year after the social media star claimed on Impaulsive that competing in WWE required athleticism comparable to playing in the NFL. Brady dismissed the comments as “cute”, with their rivalry continuing during the Fanatics Flag Football Classic before escalating at Fanatics Fest, where Brady took a swing at Paul after being mocked on stage. Brady later made another gesture towards Paul during the FIFA World Cup Final.
While nothing has been confirmed by either Brady or WWE, the business relationship already exists through TKO. Brady is a minority owner of the Las Vegas Raiders alongside TKO CEO and Chairman Ari Emanuel, whose company owns WWE.
