TNA star Joe Doering has been diagnosed with a third brain tumour in his nearly ten-year battle with brain cancer.
In a GoFundMe post, Joe Doering’s sister-in-law, Mandy Banh, provided an update on the former TNA World Tag Team Champion’s health, writing that he has been diagnosed with a third brain tumour after first being diagnosed with brain cancer in February 2016.
Banh wrote that Doering has already undergone radiotherapy and a first round of chemotherapy and will continue treatment for at least five more months. Doering has undergone surgery to remove two tumours on his brain in the past, with his last surgery in 2022 causing ataxia on his right side, and he mostly uses a wheelchair as a result.
The crowdfunding campaign is currently at $4,193 CAD of a target of $4,500 CAD.
When Did Joe Doering Win The TNA World Tag Team Title?
Joe Doering won the TNA World Tag Team Title twice as part of the Violent By Design faction, first on Impact on May 17, 2021, alongside Rhino, and they held the belts with Eric Young and Cody Deaner under Freebird Rules and lost them to The Good Brothers (Doc Gallows and Karl Anderson) at Slammiversary that same year.
Violent By Design won the titles again, with Doering and Young competing for the titles this time, getting them back from The Good Brothers on March 5, 2022, at Sacrifice. They lost them to The Briscoes (Jay and Mark Briscoe) at Under Siege on May 7.
