TNA could be instituting a new policy which would prevent its talent from working on independent featuring AEW talent.
Both Fiteful and PWI report that Moose has been removed from the Maple Leaf Pro’s Multiverse show taking place on April 18th and he may not be the only cut coming up.
PWI’s Mike Johnson wrote: “The rumblings over the last few days is that TNA has had a change of heart about letting their talents in the ring with talents contracted to other companies, which could have a ripple effect on not just other events Wrestlemania weekend but potentially, future events down the line after the big Las Vegas weekend.”
The worry stems from how those TNA talent would be booked and if they would be losing to AEW talent or at least made to look weak.
Fiteful reports that: “People close to MLP” indicated TNA president Carlos Silva was unhappy about AEW airing Collision opposite Impact last Thursday night due to NCAA basketball coverage.”
Impact came out on the losing end of that deal dropping to 200,000 viewers, down 22% from previous week, and 0.05 in the key demos, which was the same as the week before.
Collision pulled in 373,000 viewers which was -22% from the previous week and a 0.07 in the key demos which were down 12%. Collision usually airs on Saturday nights but AEW moved it to Thursday so that it wouldn’t be competing with NCAA basketball.
TNA issued a brief statement saying: “TNA wrestlers were pulled due to partner conflicts.”
