TNA has pulled one of their superstars from an upcoming event.
Lei Ying Lee was supposed to be competing in the Tokyo Joshi Pro-Wrestling’s Grand Princess 2026 show in March.
She was supposed to join forces with Sareee against Miyu Yamashita and Arisu Endo.
We regret to inform you that Lei Ying Lee, who was scheduled to appear at “GRAND PRINCESS ’26” at Ryogoku Kokugikan on Sunday, March 29th, has canceled her visit to Japan. This week, we received a sudden notice from TNA, with whom she has a contract in the United States, that her visit to Japan was canceled. Lei Ying Lee agreed to a contract last year, secured her schedule, and announced her participation. As previously reported, the match card was also announced the other day. While we were very concerned, we have been investigating the situation and discussing it with TNA. However, this decision remains unchanged. TNA has confirmed in writing that neither TJPW nor Lei Ying Lee are at fault in this matter. We sincerely apologize to the fans who were looking forward to Lei Ying Lee’s match for any concern or inconvenience this may have caused. We appreciate your understanding.
They then released TNA’s statement:
TNA sincerely apologizes for Lei Ying Lee’s inability to participate in TJPW’s Ryogoku Sumo Hall show on March 29. Neither Lee nor TJPW are at fault for this situation, and we thank TJPW for accommodating this change. Once again, we apologize to TJPW, TJPW fans, as well as Miyu Yamashita, Arisu Endo, and Sareee who were announced in this match with Lee, for the absence of Lei Ying Lee at the last minute for the Ryogoku Sumo Hall show which we know is very important for TJPW. We wish TJPW continued success and appreciate their partnership.
TNA has not elaborated on the cancellation. Lei Ying Lee is the former Xia Li in WWE.
