Carlos Silva has denied that WWE played a part in TNA’s new media rights deal with AMC.
On December 2nd, after months of speculation, TNA announced it had secured a multi-year TV deal with AMC. The deal will see Impact airing on Thursday nights from 9-11 pm ET on the network starting on January 15th. The show will also be featured on the AMC+ streaming platform.
Over the past few months, it has been speculated that, as part of their partnership, WWE may have used its influence and connections to help TNA in the process of making he media rights deal. However, TNA President Carlos Silva has refuted the suggestion.
Speaking on The Takedown on SI, Silva said he personally “led the charge,” with Creative Arts Agency being their partner on the deal.
“No, we did all the negotiations ourselves with me leading the charge on the TNA side, and then [Creative Artists Agency] leading the charge as our representative and our partner on the deal.”
Although the promotion wasn’t involved in the negotiations, Silva said TNA did keep them in the loop on the process.
“Look, WWE and NXT are very important partners to us. So we kept them in the loop. They knew what was coming. They knew about the deal before you knew about the deal. But no, they’ve got their own deals. They’re very busy with their deals.
“So they let us go out and cut a deal and get on a major network. And I think they’re happy for us. And we were happy with the way it went.”
Carlos Silva Confirms WWE-TNA Deal Will Continue Into 2026
Following TNA’s announcement of its deal with AMC, rumours began circulating that WWE was looking to end its partnership with the promotion. However, this was quickly debunked, and Carlos Silva said the partnership would continue into 2026, adding that he was happy to be able to now “give back” to WWE by showcasing its stars on a bigger platform.
