Greetings and salutations! TNA iMPACT! was live from The Liacouras Center in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, with the road to Lockdown continuing to heat up and get real caliente. This episode of TNA iMPACT had Championship matches, tournament action, and major challenges for Lockdown were all part of the night. Here is a look at the full card:

Ricky Sosa & Leon Slater vs. Cedric Alexander & Eddie Edwards

The opening contest featured plenty of fast-paced action as Ricky Sosa and Leon Slater battled Cedric Alexander and Eddie Edwards. Sosa controlled much of the early offense before Slater took over with a series of high-impact attacks.

The System tried to steal the match help from Alisha Edwards, but Sosa and Slater refused to stay down and just take it. After breaking up Cedric Alexander’s Lumbar Check attempt, Slater connected with a spectacular Swanton 450 to score the W for his team.

Winners: Ricky Sosa & Leon Slater

Following the match, Leon Slater challenged Cedric Alexander for the TNA X-Division Championship at Lockdown.

TNA International Champion Mustafa Ali instructed John Skyler to gather everyone from Order 4, later making it clear he wanted the entire group at ringside for his championship defense later in the evening.

The Elegance Brand vowed to reclaim the Knockouts World Tag Team Championships, declaring they are ready to become the “Empire of Elegance.”

Knockouts Television Championship Tournament – Indi Hartwell vs. Thea Hail

In the quarterfinals of the inaugural Knockouts Television Championship Tournament, Indi Hartwell had her chance to get one step closer to the gold as she took on NXT’s Thea Hail.

Hail focused on Hartwell’s arm throughout the bout, but Hartwell weathered the attack and capitalized after avoiding Hail’s springboard offense. She connected with Harts Donut to secure the pinfall and advance to the semifinals.

Winner: Indi Hartwell

AJ Francis continued collecting donations to cover Expressions’ medical bills, but Rich Swann and BDE weren’t interested in contributing.

KC Navarro Addresses the Fans

Fresh off his TNA World Championship loss to Nic Nemeth, KC Navarro admitted he questioned whether he belonged in TNA. After seeing his younger brothers in attendance, Navarro said he realized he does belong and promised his journey is only beginning.

The celebration was cut short when The System interrupted. Brian Myers made fun of Navarro’s past injury before The System attacked him. Ricky Sosa, Leon Slater, and Fabian Aichner rushed to the ring, forcing The System to retreat. HERE WE GO!

Knockouts World Tag Team Champion Allie searched backstage for her missing partner Rosemary. Daria Rae warned that if Rosemary failed to appear, the team would forfeit the championships.

Gia Miller interviewed Knockouts World Champion Xia Brookside before Wendy Choo interrupted to confront the champion. Director of Authority Santino Marella settled the issue by making a match between the two.

Knockouts World Tag Team Championship: Allie vs. Heather & M by Elegance

Forced to compete alone without Rosemary, Allie had to take on both Heather and M by Elegance in a handicap match for the gold!

Chaos erupted when The Personal Concierge and Mr. Elegance became involved. After repeated outside interference, the match ended in a disqualification, allowing DemonXBunny to retain the Knockouts World Tag Team Championships.

Winner: Allie (via Disqualification)

The Hardys Confront The Nemeth Brothers after moving on from The Righteous

The Hardys celebrated ending their rivalry with The Righteous and regaining the TNA World Tag Team Championships.

The celebration was interrupted by Ryan and Nic Nemeth, who claimed to be the greatest brother duo in wrestling. Ryan challenged The Hardys to a match at Lockdown.

Santino Marella was out and made several announcements:

  • The Hardys will defend the TNA World Tag Team Championships against The Nemeth Brothers at Lockdown.
  • Nic Nemeth will defend the TNA World Championship against Jeff Hardy.
  • Ryan Nemeth will face Matt Hardy next week on iMPACT!.

Afterward, Dead City star Aimee Garcia threw water on Ryan Nemeth…..and that was that.

AJ Francis continued seeking donations backstage before crossing paths with Elijah. After refusing to leave The Home Town Man alone, Francis was challenged by Elijah, leading to a match being made official for Lockdown.

Director of Operations Daria Rae confirmed DemonXBunny will defend the Knockouts World Tag Team Championships against The Elegance Brand at Lockdown. Rae also revealed she intends to terminate Harley Hudson’s contract.

Knockouts Television Championship Tournament: Jada Stone vs. Jody Threat

Jody Threat appeared to have the match won several times, but Jada Stone fought back and countered everything and then some. Stone reversed Threat into a surprise roll-up to punch her ticket to the semifinals of the Knockouts Television Championship Tournament.

Winner: Jada Stone

TNA International Championship: Mustafa Ali (c) vs. Jason Hotch

The main event delivered one of the night’s biggest surprises on TNA iMPACT!. Hotch matched Mustafa Ali strike for strike in an intense championship match. The two men battled all over the place and we saw near falls galore including a breathtaking Spanish Fly and a Superplex through a table. We even saw the possible destruction of Order 4 as they didn’t let Ali cheat to win.

Ali resorted to his usual ways as he low blows Hotch and even used the belt as a weapon. Hotch survived it all! Ali goes for and missed a 450 Splash, so Hotch capitalized with a Double Stomp followed by a top-rope Splash to score the three-count.
