Three championships changed hands during AEW Revolution 2026 on Sunday night in Los Angeles, with new champions crowned across the National, Trios, and Women’s World Tag Team divisions during a busy night of action.
The first title change of the evening came as the final moments of the Blackjack Battle Royal from the Zero Hour pre-show carried over onto the main card. The match ultimately came down to Ricochet and Jack Perry battling on the turnbuckle.
Ricochet attempted to pull Perry off the ropes and set up a move on the ring apron, but Perry countered with a reverse rana that sent the champion tumbling to the floor. With Ricochet eliminated, Perry captured the AEW National Championship.
The victory ended Ricochet’s reign as the inaugural champion. He originally won the title in a Casino Gauntlet match at Full Gear in November and has since defended the championship across several promotions, including Ring of Honor, CMLL, and New Japan.
Perry and Ricochet had been feuding for several weeks leading into the event. Although Perry previously failed in a direct title challenge, he gained momentum after his team defeated Ricochet’s side in the Mile High Madness match on Dynamite last month. The former Jungle Boy made a memorable entrance for the battle royal by arriving on a bus driven by his tag team partner, Luchasaurus, who is currently sidelined with an injury.
New AEW World Trios Champions Crowned At Revolution
Later in the show, new AEW World Trios Champions were crowned when Kevin Knight, “Speedball” Mike Bailey, and Mistico defeated The Don Callis Family’s Kazuchika Okada, Mark Davis, and Kyle Fletcher.
The finish came after Mistico trapped Fletcher in La Mistica, allowing Bailey to neutralise Davis before Knight followed up with a Frog Splash on Davis to secure the pinfall victory. The win ended The Don Callis Family’s brief run with the titles.
Following the match, the crowd in Los Angeles celebrated alongside the new champions as Mistico’s entrance music played. The moment was also significant for the veteran luchador, as AEW confirmed his signing with the company during the post-match celebration.
Mistico, 43, continues to hold championship gold outside of AEW as well, currently reigning as one of the CMLL World Trios Champions alongside Mascara Dorada and Neon.
AEW Women’s World Tag Team Title Changes Hands At Revolution
Another title change occurred in the women’s division later in the night when new AEW Women’s World Tag Team Champions were crowned.
Willow Nightingale and Lena Kross had already competed earlier in the evening during the Zero Hour pre-show, where Nightingale successfully defended the AEW TBS Championship against Kross. Both competitors returned to the ring later in the night as part of a tag team title match, with the Babes of Wrath defending against The Divine Dominion.
The finish came when Lena Kross and Megan Bayne hit Nightingale with a chokeslam. Kross then covered Nightingale to secure the victory and the championships for The Divine Dominion.
The win ended the Babes of Wrath’s 96-day reign and marked the beginning of a new run for Kross and Bayne as AEW Women’s World Tag Team Champions.
