The Undertaker has revealed he does not expect to continue hosting his Six Feet Under podcast beyond the end of his current contract, admitting he would “rather go to the dentist” than record new episodes.
Speaking on Insight with Chris Van Vliet, the WWE Hall of Famer was asked whether he had enjoyed launching the podcast following his retirement from in-ring competition. The Undertaker’s response was blunt:
“Not at all. I mean, Fanatics is actually one of the sponsors, but I’d almost rather go to the dentist and pull a tooth than do a podcast.”
When asked how much longer he expected the show to continue, Undertaker indicated its days may be numbered.
“You say years? Not years. No, we’re probably talking months. I think when this contract rolls out, I don’t think we’ll be renewing.”
No official announcement has been made regarding the future of Six Feet Under, which returned earlier this year after a hiatus of several months.
The Undertaker’s Retirement Isn’t Going The Way He Planned
The Undertaker also admitted retirement has not been as relaxing as he expected. Instead of slowing down, the 61-year-old said he now feels busier than he did during the final decade of his WWE career.
“I work more now than the last 10 years I was on the road wrestling. I’m always gone.”
Undertaker revealed he only began thinking seriously about life after wrestling on November 22, 2020, the night WWE held his Final Farewell ceremony at Survivor Series.
“Unfortunately, way too late. I think it was November 22, 2020, when it dawned on me, like you might need to find something else to do here.”
His original retirement plan involved spending more time hunting, fishing and enjoying the outdoors, but those ambitions have taken a back seat as new opportunities have continued to arise.
“I envisioned myself, like, all right, I’m going hunting and doing all those things that I wasn’t really able to do while I was on the road… and then things started popping up.”
Alongside hosting his podcast, Undertaker currently serves as head of creative for AAA, appears as a coach on WWE’s LFG, and continues to make regular live appearances and fulfil Hall of Fame commitments for WWE.
