The Undertaker has shared details of a genuine backstage fight between Big Show and The Great Khali that took place during a WWE tour in 2009.
Speaking on Six Feet Under with Michelle McCool, with Mark Henry as a guest, The Undertaker recalled the incident from a show in Puerto Rico, where tensions boiled over between the two giants following a six-man tag team match. According to The Undertaker, the issue stemmed from Khali using Big Show’s trademark corner chop during the bout.
The situation escalated in the men’s locker room when Big Show delivered what The Undertaker described as a thunderous strike that echoed through the room, yet Khali remained on his feet. A brief but chaotic struggle followed, with both men losing their footing and crashing to the floor.
Before the fight could escalate further, William Regal intervened, quickly stepping in and subduing Khali to bring the situation under control. The Undertaker said Regal’s swift response prevented the altercation from getting any worse, with several members of the locker room, including Kane, CM Punk and Carlito, witnessing the incident.
Once tempers cooled, the incident became a source of humour backstage. The Undertaker admitted he had never let Big Show forget the moment, recalling how he would regularly tease him about the fight in the weeks that followed.
“I probably shouldn’t even tell the story cuz I’ve never let him off the hook.” He said that he would say to Show, “Dang man, he had you down,” which would greatly upset the giant.
Michelle McCool added that The Undertaker later joked Big Show had managed to land one good shot, while Khali claimed the only lasting pain came from Regal’s intervention rather than the fight itself.
