The Rock has hinted that positive discussions are ongoing regarding his potential involvement at WrestleMania 43, which is scheduled to take place in Saudi Arabia in 2027.
The upcoming edition will mark the first time WrestleMania is held in the Kingdom and outside of North America, continuing WWE’s long-term partnership with Saudi Arabia. With a year still to go before the event, speculation has already begun about which major stars could be part of the show, and The Rock has done little to dampen that talk.
Appearing in an interview with Raffi Boghosian on Raffi Talks, Johnson spoke enthusiastically about WrestleMania’s global reach and the opportunity the event presents.
“I’m excited for the brand of WrestleMania, I’m excited for the Kingdom because that is a big show,” he said. “I’m also excited not only for the brand, but I’m excited for our athletes to be able to participate in an event like that, and that is a global event.”
Johnson added that discussions surrounding the show have been encouraging.
“And so I can’t wait. In terms of the conversations I’ve been having, it’s all good. It will always be good,” he said, stopping short of confirming whether he will appear on the card.
WWE’s major events in Saudi Arabia have historically featured some of the company’s biggest names, including Goldberg, Kane, The Undertaker and Shawn Michaels. Following The Rock’s prominent in-ring involvement at WrestleMania 40, rumours have only grown that he could once again play a role on WWE’s biggest stage.
For now, Johnson has neither confirmed nor denied his participation at WrestleMania 43. Saudi Arabia will host another major WWE event beforehand, with the Royal Rumble set for January 31, 2026.
When Did The Rock Last Wrestle In WWE?
The Rock last competed inside a WWE ring at night one of WrestleMania 40, where he and Roman Reigns teamed against Cody Rhodes and Seth Rollins in a winning effort, and because he and Reigns won, Reigns and Rhodes Undisputed WWE Title match on night two of WrestleMania 40 was contested under Bloodline Rules.
Rock also got involved in the title match the following night and attempted to take out Rhodes to allow Reigns to retain the title, but The Undertaker emerged to deliver a chokeslam to Johnson before he could hit Rhodes with his weightlifting belt.
