Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson has revealed which finishing move he considers the best in professional wrestling today, and it belongs to a current WWE star.
Speaking with Complex, The Rock named Seth Rollins‘ Stomp as his favourite finisher, admitting he enjoyed both watching the move and receiving it himself.
The Hollywood star experienced the move firsthand during the main event of WrestleMania 40 Night One, when he teamed with Roman Reigns to defeat Rollins and Cody Rhodes in a blockbuster tag team match.
Reflecting on the moment, The Rock explained that he has always enjoyed taking some of wrestling’s most impactful finishing manoeuvres.
“I would say Seth Rollins’ Stomp. That’s my favourite,” The Rock said. “I took it at WrestleMania.”
The Rock Praised Seth Rollins’ Stomp As An “Iconic” Finishing Move
The former WWE Champion went on to praise the move’s presentation and effectiveness.
“I am a glutton for punishment, so there’s some finishing moves I loved taking. His is so iconic and I took that. It’s a wild face stomp into the mat. It was cool.”
The endorsement comes as Rollins remains one of WWE’s top stars on Monday Night Raw.
Rollins is currently preparing for a steel cage match against Bron Breakker at Night of Champions on June 27 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
While The Rock has taken plenty of legendary finishing moves throughout his Hall of Fame career, it appears Rollins’ Stomp sits at the top of the list.
