The Rock has further explained his decision to praise AEW while paying tribute to PAC, saying he does not consider promotional rivalries when a wrestler dies. Responding to reports that people within WWE were surprised by his comments, Rock said “humanity matters most” and that his concern is for the wrestlers affected rather than viewing AEW as competition. In his original tribute following PAC’s death at 40, Rock described AEW as a “phenomenal wrestling company” and offered condolences to PAC’s family, Tony Khan, the AEW locker room and his former colleagues in WWE.

Brie Bella has given fans an update on her injury. On The Nikki & Brie Show she said: “I still think my days to be in-ring are still far, unfortunately, and just so you all know, I’m not the type of girl anymore who’s going to rush things. So for me it’s like making sure my bones are fused then next going back into the right type of exercise, getting my body strong and then the next is getting back into practicing in the ring and making sure my in-ring work is back to par. I don’t want to be rusty in the ring anymore. I want all of it out before I make that comeback but I’ll keep you guys updated.”
WWE has been granted an additional 90 days to decide whether to oppose Matthew Hyson’s application to trademark the “Spike Dudley” name. The Trademark Trial and Appeal Board approved WWE’s extension on September 25, giving the company until December 23 to file an opposition, although none has been filed yet. Hyson applied for the trademark in May 2026 specifically for action figures. A previous attempt to trademark the name for wrestling services was rejected because of WWE’s existing “Dudley Boyz” trademark and was abandoned in 2007.
Jeff Jarrett has named Chris Jericho, Sting, The Elite and MJF as his choices for an AEW Mount Rushmore. Speaking to KickOut, Jarrett said Jericho’s role as the company’s first World Champion made him an obvious choice, while Sting’s AEW run also earned him a place. He grouped The Young Bucks, Kenny Omega and Hangman Adam Page together as The Elite because of their importance to AEW’s history, before adding MJF for his role in the promotion’s growth. However, Jarrett said Tony Khan is effectively “the mountain” itself, arguing AEW would not exist without his vision and mindset.
