The New Level have revealed that their AEW contracts allow them to wrestle for other promotions worldwide.
Kofi Kingston and Austin Creed recently joined AEW after leaving WWE, making their debut at All In 2026 alongside Swerve Strickland. On The Ariel Helwani Show, the pair revealed that WWE had offered them a pay cut of more than 50 per cent before their departure. After discussing their options, Kofi and Creed mutually decided that it was time to leave the company.
The pair subsequently entered talks with AEW and revealed that they did not officially sign their contracts until less than 24 hours before All In. However, their new agreements will not limit them exclusively to AEW, with Creed confirming that they have the freedom to appear for other wrestling promotions.
“We can jump around and do some other things. So we still have opportunities to go to other places and to wrestle people. So that fact that tag team wrestling is all across the world is something that’s really exciting to us,” Creed said.
The New Level Have Freedom Outside AEW
Kofi added that he is still adjusting to the level of freedom available to them following their move to AEW.
“Yeah, anything and everything. Everything is on the table. I’m still getting used to being able to have so much freedom to be able to, again, just do what we want to do. So yeah, like, Austin said, there’s opportunities aplenty, as you see with a lot of the AEW wrestlers doing all kinds of things on the roster and then internationally as well.
I think… I don’t remember who the promotion was that he was wrestling for, but somewhere in Africa, he was wrestling. He was the champion there in Africa somewhere, you know what I mean? So the possibilities are endless. And yeah, it’s very exciting to have those opportunities,” he said.
The arrangement opens the door for Kofi and Creed to compete for promotions outside AEW, including internationally, while continuing their run with the company. The New Level made their AEW debut at All In 2026, where they teamed with Swerve Strickland and captured the AEW World Trios Championships.
