Matt and Jeff Hardy have spoken about whether fans will have the opportunity to see the legendary tag team compete in WWE again.
The Hardy Boyz are looking to remain in TNA while continuing to work with WWE on select appearances. Speaking to Metro, Matt Hardy said the team is in ongoing discussions with WWE about future projects.
“We’re in constant negotiations with WWE about doing some more stuff,” he said. “We will do more with them.”
Matt explained that it was important for the duo to stay with TNA rather than return to WWE on a full-time basis, while still keeping the door open for appearances with the company.
“It was very important to us to stay at TNA as opposed to becoming a WWE full-time act again,” he said. “In TNA, we’re going to be put in a position to succeed, and we can contribute, and we can help the company grow and be better.”
He also praised WWE management and hinted that fans could see more of the team on WWE programming in the coming year.
“The relationship with WWE has been great. Anytime we’ve interacted with Shawn Michaels, he was absolutely awesome. Triple H, whoever, we’ve got along with everybody really good,” Hardy said. “I think you’re going to see some more cool Hardy Boyz moments in WWE before it’s all said and done in 2026.”
When Did The Hardy Boyz Last Compete In WWE?
The Hardy Boyz made several appearances on NXT television in 2025, even capturing the NXT Tag Team Championships on the October 7 episode of NXT/TNA Showdown. However, their reign was not long, lasting just 18 days as they lost the titles back to DarkState at Halloween Havoc on October 25.
