The Great Khali has revealed he is open to making a one-off return to WWE, despite insisting his days as a full-time competitor are over.
The WWE Hall of Famer said he would welcome the chance to appear in a match such as the Royal Rumble if the opportunity arose, although ongoing knee problems mean he can no longer wrestle regularly.
Speaking on Insight with Chris Van Vliet, The Great Khali explained that a full-time comeback is unrealistic because of his physical condition.
“Maybe WWE asking, I can go, just one, two days, not full time,” Khali said. “My bad knee, so I can’t go full-time.”
Khali also revealed that he is planning to undergo knee replacement surgery to address the issues that have affected him in recent years.
“First, I want to do one, then maybe later,” he said when discussing the procedure.
Despite Suffering From A Significant Knee Injury, The Great Khali Said He Is Remaining Active
Despite the injury, The Great Khali said he remains active, noting that the pain is most noticeable when walking or climbing stairs.
“When I walk and take stairs, then pain. Otherwise, I’m fine.”
He added that he is still able to exercise regularly but admitted he has yet to schedule the operation due to his busy business commitments in India.
While a full-time return is off the table, Khali made it clear he would be interested in making a special WWE appearance if the right opportunity arose.
