Tessa Blanchard has released some private messages to defend herself from continued allegations of racism.
Blanchard introduced the post with the statement: “La Rosa and I are on very good terms and talk every now and then, usually about wrestling! Would love to get her in TNA one day.”

In the back and forth, Blanchard writes: ”
“Honestly, I don’t think it’s worth rehashing. It’s in the past, and we’ve both moved forward. At this point, it’s really no one else’s business. I’m just glad we’re in a better place now, and I’d rather focus on that. We remember things differently, and that’s okay. However, we both know race had nothing to do with what happened that night. At the end of the day, what matters is where we are now, not what’s behind us. I hope you keep succeeding & doing your best because I love to see it!!! ❤️“
La Rosa Negra answered: “Hahahaha let me defend you in TNA!!!! Jajajaja i was talking with Moody Jack about story lines and the reel of the (in ring) came out!!! We start laughing in good way and well…… just hoping u are well!! ✌️”
The allegations made against Blanchard became part of the conversation on X when Blanchard posted a holiday photo:

An X user named “@Dee_Batch: responded with:
“Honestly, you are good in the ring. A fantastic heel. I believe in second chances in a world where everyone thinks their shit doesn’t stink. I know you gotta work twice as hard and had to start again too. Just keep at it, learn from past mistakes, and never repeat them. Just wanted to say kind words, have a great Christmas,” they wrote.
A user named “@RighteousM7853” jumped in criticizing the response with: “We giving racist women a 2nd chance now? When did this happen?”.
Batch wrote back: “People can change and make mistakes. Don’t act like you never said some off-color shit ever. We all have. People can change. Imagine a world where we are just judged by our past mistakes only. We all grow if god can forgive us, what makes you better than the creator?”.
Blanchard herself eventually waded into the conversation saying: “I’m not perfect, made plenty of mistakes in my life.. racism is not one of them nor has that ever been in my heart. An incident from 10 years ago has continuously gotten twisted into something that race had absolutely nothing to do with because of the social climate. I’m tired of being used as click bait. Move on.”
When another user asked her point-blank if she was a racist she wrote: “Nope. Never have been. Let’s move the hell on.”
At the time the allegations came to light, La Rosa Negra herself said: “I accepted that she spit in my face, that she humiliated me. She also needs to respect the fact that I made her respect me for better or worse. You are not someone to humiliate people, but you made me grow. Now, I feel like I know my worth because I could defend myself and show that she is not above anyone else. It affected my personal life and my finances and me being able to provide for my family. I had to stay in Puerto Rico and grow.”
In 2022, La Rosa Negra and Tessa Blanchard posted a joint photo on Instagram seemingly burying, moving past their personal issues.
