“Stone Cold” Steve Austin has been confirmed for an appearance during WrestleMania 42 weekend in Las Vegas.
The announcement came on the latest episode of WWE Raw, where Michael Cole revealed that the WWE World fan experience will run from April 16 to April 20. Cole confirmed that Steve Austin will be part of the event, with WWE partner Fanatics later backing up the announcement.
While Austin is now officially scheduled for WWE World, there is no confirmation that he will compete at WrestleMania 42 itself. His last match came at Night One of WrestleMania 38, where he defeated Kevin Owens in a No Holds Barred bout, his first in-ring appearance in nearly 20 years.
Austin also appeared at Night Two of WrestleMania 41 to announce the attendance, a moment that went viral after he accidentally crashed his ATV into the ringside barricade.
With his appearance now confirmed for WWE World, Austin will once again be part of the WrestleMania festivities in Las Vegas, though any potential in-ring return has not been announced.
How Many WrestleMania Matches Has Steve Austin Had In His Career?
“Stone Cold” Steve Austin has competed at nine WrestleManias throughout his career. His first WrestleMania bout took place on March 31, 1996, at WrestleMania 12, where he defeated Savio Vega with The Million Dollar Man Ted DiBiase in his corner.
Before his WrestleMania 38 bout with Kevin Owens, his last WrestleMania match before that took place on March 30, 2003, just a day short of his seven-year WrestleMania anniversary, at WrestleMania 19, where he lost to The Rock, this match would also serve as Austin’s retirement match.
