Steve Austin and his co-driver escaped injury after a crash at the Stomping Grounds 300 over the weekend.
Austin had to post a DNF (Did Not Finish) and his car took some “pretty good damage”, according to Austin himself and the Broken Skull Racing team.
“Made a mistake on the course and knocked us out of the race on Saturday. Myself and Co-driver @reddogschopshop are both 100% The car took some pretty good damage and we are working on getting it ready for VC-Tonopah next race,” he wrote.
Austin and his team have already begun work on the car for their next race. Austin admitted that he still has a lot to learn about VORRA (Valley Off-Road Racing Association).
“@valleyoffroadracingassociation put on a great race and we certainly left the chat too soon. Thanks to VORRA Recovery Jeff for the assist. We put the car back together good enough to drive back to main pit on the back roads. This has been a great season of racing and the H2 is a helluva car. We set out to finish every race. And my mistake cost us a finish. I have learned many things from it that I will take into future races. Do you even race, bro?” he continued.
Stone Cold” Steve Austin has two class victories in 2026, winning the Stock Mod division at both the Prospector 250 and Night Vision 250. He also won the 2024 VORRA Sportsman UTV championship, while his 2025 Mint 400 result was a DNF.
